I'm open to suggestions that correct the above issue or suggestions on how to do this without using a temp folder. I can't seem to figure out what is going on between the temp folder through to the tar. FBackup is a lightweight automated backup program to help protect your important files and folders from being lost.It does this by automating backup tasks, password protecting and compressing it to save storage space. I began with a simple rsync -aPh -del :/ /mnt/backup. However, when looking in the tar file, there will be multiple copies of test.txt Note: You can exclude entire Desktop, Documents, Applications, Downloads and also User Folders. Im backing up a Linux server and storing it on another server. For example if I backed up a file called test.txt then that file will be located in the temporary directory.
